I'm a pcgamer. With more than 1.2 billion gamers across the planet, the video game industry is a global phenomenon, with sales projected soon to pass R1,430.37bn (R1,223.7bn) per year.

I can safely say that I have contributed a nice chunk of that on very cool games.

You see I am obsessed with online games. I spend tons of money (all my savings) and most of my time playing online games.

Word out there is that games can cause violence and addiction. Yet three decades of research have failed to produce consensus among scientists. In laboratory studies, some researchers have found an increase of about 4% in gamers' levels of aggression after playing violent games.

But other research groups have concluded factors such as family background, mental health or simply being male are more significant in determining levels of aggression. I have a cool family, no mental health issues (that I know of) and yes, I’m a male. But a super chilled out male. I think I’ll be fine people.

But away from the controversy, a growing body of work is beginning to show gaming in a different light. Studies show that online games have a positive impact on your mental development ( I can't agree more!) when it comes to the following:

  • Motor skill
  • Visual abilities
  • Brain growth
  • Keeping sharp

So with that said, I hope I rid your conscious of any guilt feelings playing cool games and I thank you for visiting my website. Hope you’ll join me on my journey to try and become one of the top league players in a few years. yes, I dream BIG!

I’m MASSIVE on CS:GO right now but will upload all sorts of gaming videos including GTA V, Skyrim, Minecraft, Destiny, Halo and many more.

It will be so cool if you subscribe to my YouTube channel as well. Hey, you don’t ask, you don’t get.

Enjoy the videos. Peace out, PCGAMER Tyler “Blonde_Hero” Nolan
